Ross Watson were engaged to undertake the design and documentation for a golf club facility and golf landscape at the unique 99º East Langkawi Living development. Nestled in the rain forest rich mountains of Malaysia’s Mukim Ulu Melaka and the tropical beaches and waterways of Langkawi Island, the golf club, restaurant and bar facilities will provide a key focus for the 99º East project and create a catalyst for further commercial and residential development.
The golf landscape climbed steep slopes by incorporating rice terraces, cascading water features and meandering golf buggy paths. The golf course is split into 2 settings - ancient forest and the plains. Each hole is designed to maximize views to the water and surrounding limestone mountains.
